1. What is Dropcatch? Will dropcatch be successful?
Domain backordering refers to placing a request for a domain name after it expires but before it is deleted. At the moment of deletion, our system automatically attempts to register the domain through registrar interfaces—typically completing the process within 0.1 seconds. You may choose a suitable backorder channel based on your budget and the value of the domain.
- For standard domains, the success rate can exceed 98%.
- For high-value domains, the success rate can exceed 90%.
2.Is bidding required after a successful backorder?
- If only one user has placed a backorder for the domain, it will be awarded directly to that user without the need for bidding. However, if multiple users have placed backorders for the same domain, it will enter an auction process. The highest bidder at the end of the auction will win the domain.
3.Does your platform participate in domain auctions?
- We make a firm commitment to all users: We do not participate in any domain auctions on our platform, nor do we reserve any domains for ourselves.
4.Is the deposit refunded if the backorder is unsuccessful?

5.Which registrar will the domain be registered under after a successful backorder?
- The final registrar for a successfully backordered domain cannot be determined in advance. Our system utilizes multiple registrar interfaces to attempt registration, and the domain will be held under the registrar through which the registration succeeds. In some cases, especially for certain types of deleted domains, the domain may be transferred to our in-house registrar after acquisition to simplify post-purchase management for users.
6.How can I manage a successfully backordered domain?
- All domains successfully acquired through our platform can be managed online through your account. You can modify DNS records, set IP resolutions, and more—so there's no need to worry about domain management. Additionally, after a two-month holding period, you may request to transfer the domain to a registrar of your choice.
